# Get started

> From a new account to your first booking in four steps.



Welcome! This guide takes you from an empty account to a shop where customers can book and pay. Follow the steps in order — each one only takes a few minutes.

## Good to know before you start

* Everything you choose during setup can be changed later under <Path>Settings</Path>.
* You can have several companies on the same account and switch between them in the admin.
* Under <Path>Home</Path> in the admin there's a checklist with the same steps. It ticks them off as you complete them, so you can always see what's left.

## Once the basics are in place

The checklist on Home also suggests a few steps you don't need in order to get started:

* **Custom domain** — put the shop on your own address. See [Domains and SEO](/channels/shop/domains-and-seo).
* **Invite your team** — give colleagues and guides their own logins. See [Team and roles](/settings/team-and-roles).
* **Review policies** — cancellation policy, terms and privacy policy under <Path>Settings → Legal</Path>.
