Pages and sections

Which pages in the shop you can design and which sections you build them with.

The shop is made up of a number of page types, for example the home page, the experience page and checkout. Each page type is built from sections that you arrange in the web editor. Here's an overview of what's available.

Page types#

The page picker in the editor groups the pages like this:

GroupPagesGood to know
HomeHomeThe shop's home page.
ExperiencesExperiences, ExperienceThe catalogue and the template used for each individual experience.
StaffStaff, Staff memberRequires the Staff app.
DatesDatesAll upcoming time slots.
Gift cardsGift cardsBuying gift cards and checking the balance. Requires the Gift cards app.
CheckoutCheckout, Thank-you pageCheckout has its own header and footer.
AccountLog in, Profile, My bookings, BookingThe customer's own account.
Agency portalBecome a reseller, Log in, Overview, Book, Bookings, Booking, Invoices, UsersThe portal for your resellers. Requires the Agency app — see Resellers.
PagesYour own pagesCreated under Menus, blog and pages or with New page in the page picker.
BlogBlog, Blog postThe blog list and the template for each post.
OtherSearch, Wishlist, 404 page, Password page, PolicyWishlist requires the Wishlist app. The password page is shown when the shop is password protected — see Domains and SEO.
FormsEnquiry, ReviewThe private booking enquiry and the review form. Review requires the Reviews app.

Page types that belong to an app only appear when the app is switched on.

The booking box for embedding and the Complete checkout page, which is an intermediate step in the payment, aren't in the page picker and have nothing to set up.

Each page type has allowed and required sections. The checkout page, for example, must contain the checkout. This means a page can never stop working, however you rebuild it.

Sections#

Sections are the building blocks. Which ones you can add depends on the page type, and sections that belong to an app only appear when the app is switched on.

A few sections in detail#

  • Page banner: the page's hero image or slideshow with a heading and buttons. You choose the height and layout, and can make the header transparent on top of the image when the banner is first on the page.
  • Icons: short points with an icon and text, up to twelve of them, in two to four columns.
  • Cards: cards with an image, heading and text, up to twelve of them, in two to four columns. You choose the images from the media library, and the alt text is taken from there.
  • Reviews: shows reviews from the Reviews app, from Google or ones you enter yourself. Choose Carousel or Grid, the minimum rating and the number to show.
  • Experience details: the main part of the experience page. It's divided into blocks that you switch on and off and sort — for example images, description, what's included, quick facts, prices, guides, map, reviews and booking. The booking block can be shown as Monthly calendar or Upcoming times.
  • Form: adds one of your forms to the page.

Settings available on almost every section#

  • Theme: System (follows the shop's theme), Light or Dark.
  • Colour (Standard, Grey or Colour, i.e. the primary colour) and Width (Full, Medium or Narrow).
  • Top border and Bottom border. The spacing between sections is handled automatically: neighbouring sections with the same theme and colour are kept together as a group, and a border breaks the group.
  • Anchor, so you can link straight to the section.
  • Buttons with a style (Primary, Secondary or Link) and the option to open the link in a new tab.

You also edit the header and footer in the editor, at the top and bottom of the section list. There you choose which menu to show, the logo size, theme and colour, and up to three custom buttons. Search, account, language switcher and currency switcher in the header can each be switched off. The wishlist heart is shown when the Wishlist app is switched on.

Checkout has its own header and footer settings, with a separate theme and colour.
